TEULADÍ BLANC RECOVERY PROYECT OF MINOR OLD GRAPES VARIETIES IN SPAIN.

Location: Finca Los Navarros  ( Ontinyent )

Altitude: 480 m

Type of Soil: Poor hillside soils, stony, calcareus.  

Crop density : 1.800 plants/Ha

Vineyard : 50 years old vineyards. 

Vine training systems: Wire – trained vines

Environment: Continental climate softened by the Mediterranean influence, with an average annual temperature of 15 degrees and a Mediterranean type rainfall regime.A continental climate softened by Mediterranean influence, with an average annual temperature of 15°C and a Mediterranean-type rainfall pattern. In 2025, weather conditions followed a similar temperature trend to the previous year. In July, maximum temperatures of up to 42°C were recorded in Ontinyent.

In March, exceptionally high rainfall levels were registered, reaching 340 l/m², close to the annual average of 600 l/m². This contributed to increased water reserves, helping vineyards withstand the summer period without precipitation.

Due to the spring rains, production this year was slightly higher than in 2024. Ripening progressed very rapidly, resulting in a short and highly concentrated harvest period. The wines show greater concentration and slightly lower acidity.

Grape Varieties:  50% Merseguera, 50% Planta Nova

Vintage: 2025

Harvest: Manual harvest in mid October.

Pre-Cold Maceration:  1 day

Fermentation: Alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks with native yeast fermented with grapes skins and seeds and susequent malolactic fermentation in Frenck oak barrels.

Fermentation Temperature: 12 – 15  ºC

Barrel Aging: Aged for 5 months in French oak barrels of 225 liters. 

Bottling Aging: Minimum of 6 months

Vinification: Clarifiers of vegetable origen have been used during the elaboration therefore it is suitable for vegan consumers.

An enticing nose showing a hint of smocked bacon, dried Mediterranean herbs and vanilla to the spiced lemons and nectarines. Pretty long 

and flavorful on the palate with a medium to full body. Fresh and a tard waxy in exture. Drink now.
