Location: Finca Los Almendros, Finca El Olivar and Finca el Corral ( Caudete)

Altitude: 557 m

Type of soil: Shallow, poor and poorly permeable soils with calcium carbonate crust, that contributes to the sweetness tannin.

Crop density: 2500 plants /Ha

Vineyard age: 20 – 40 years

Vine training systems: Free – standing bush and wire-trained vines.

Environment: Continental climate softened by the Mediterranean influence, with an average annual temperature of 15 ºC and a Mediterranean type rainfall regime, with peaks in spring and autumn

Grape varieties: Bobal, Malbec, Syrah. 

Vintage: 2018, 2019,2020

Harvest, vinification and aging

Harvest: Picked by hand in October

Pre-Cold maceration: 7 – 8 days at 5 ºC

Fermentation: Alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks with autochthonous yeast and subsequent malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels.

Pre-Fermentation maceration: 15 days at 25 ºC

Fermentation temperature: 24 -26 ºC

Aging: 15 months in new french oak barrels

Bottle aging: Minimum 1 year

Vinification: Due to the elaboration process, light filtering, this wine can present some precipitation in the bottle. Clarifiers are from a vegetable origin, which makes it suitable for vegan consumers.

Spiced plums, cherries, ripe blackberries, chocolate, cedar and hazelnuts on the nose. Medium to full bodied with firm, fine-grained tannins. Structured, pulished and pretty.

In the Table

The temperature of conservation of this wine should be around 15 ºC, it is important for it to be constant, avoiding thermal jumps. It must be protected from light sources. 

Ideal to acoompany game meat and flowl, stews or casseroles, red meat and mature and hard cheeses.
